“Azumayu” is a public bath located about a 3-minute walk from JR Higashi-Zushi Station. The admission fees are very affordable: Adults ¥530, Junior High School Students ¥430, Elementary School Students ¥200, and Preschool Children ¥100 (up to 2 children free). Originally established in 1947, this bathhouse was renewed and reopened on August 1, 2020.
One of the main features of this public bath is its highly concentrated carbonated spring, which is considered to be at a therapeutic spring level. The carbon dioxide enters the body through the skin and helps improve blood circulation, making it easier even for people who are not comfortable with very hot baths to enjoy a hot bath comfortably.
In addition, there is a relaxing rest area where visitors can enjoy a drink after bathing. Snacks can also be purchased starting from just ¥20, making it a great place to enjoy your post-bath relaxation time!

One of the main features of this bathhouse is its simple structure, with just one large bath located in the center of the bathing area. “Hibariyu” is a public bath located about a 3-minute walk from the East Exit of JR Ofuna Station. The admission fee is very affordable at ¥530 for adults. Since opening in December 1969, it has remained a beloved bathhouse in the Ofuna area for decades.
One of the main features of this bathhouse is its wide variety of baths, including an artificial carbonated bath, ultrasonic bath, bubble bath, electric bath, and reclining bath. In addition, the men’s bath area also includes an open-air bath.

“Kuritayu” is a public bath located about a 10-minute walk from the Kasama Exit of JR Ofuna Station. The admission fee is very affordable at ¥530 for adults, and the bathhouse is especially popular because it uses alkaline underground water that is gentle on the skin.
One of the main features of this bathhouse is its impressive large tile mural on the wall. Established in the 1950s, it is a nostalgic sento where visitors can fully enjoy the atmosphere of Japan’s Showa era. Bath varieties include an ultrasonic bath and bubble bath. There is also a coin laundry next to the bathhouse, making it very convenient.
A sauna is also available, although it is currently closed.

“Inamuragasaki Onsen” is a famous super sento located about a 3-minute walk from Enoden Inamuragasaki Station. It is especially well known for its extremely high concentration of bicarbonate ions and metasilicic acid.
One of the main features of this hot spring facility is the breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji, Enoshima, and the ocean while relaxing in the large communal bath. There is also a café attached to the facility, allowing visitors to enjoy meals and drinks after bathing. The facility was renovated and reopened in September 2017, and the main bath is the only bath type available, designed to fully enjoy the magnificent scenery.

“Shonan Resort Spa Ryusenji-no-Yu Shonan Chigasaki” is a super sento that opened in Shonan as a relaxing resort-style bathing facility. It can be accessed by free shuttle bus from JR Chigasaki Station and JR Hiratsuka Station. There is also parking for 326 cars, making it convenient to visit by car! This facility is also part of the Ryusenji-no-Yu brand, which opened Japan’s first bathing facility called a “super sento” and became the original model for the super sento business.
There are 10 types of baths, including a highly concentrated carbonated bath, silky bubble pot bath, Fujimi rock bath, sitting bath, reclining bath, silk bath, sitting carbonated bath, children’s bath, shape-up bath, and electric bath. Among them, the highly concentrated carbonated bath is especially recommended, as Ryusenji-no-Yu was the first bathing facility in Japan to introduce an artificial carbonated spring!
The facility also has saunas, cold baths, and outdoor air bathing spaces. The men’s sauna features automatic loyly every 30 minutes, while the women’s sauna offers a herbal aroma sauna. It uses natural hot spring water called “Shonan Chigasaki Onsen,” which springs from underground. Shonan Chigasaki Onsen is also known as the “beauty skin bath” and “warming bath,” and is said to smooth the skin and warm the body. A free shuttle bus is also available from JR Chigasaki Station.

“Yone no Yu” is a traditional public bath located about a 20-minute walk from JR Hiratsuka Station. Since buses are available from Hiratsuka Station, visiting by bus is recommended. The admission fee is very affordable at ¥530 for adults, and this nostalgic sento has a history of over 100 years, having first opened in 1923.
One of the main features of this bathhouse is its wall tile artwork. Created around 1965 by skilled tile craftsmen, it remains a masterpiece that allows visitors to fully enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese bathhouse. Another unique feature is that the bathwater is heated using firewood. The ability to carefully adjust the water temperature according to the number of guests is a technique perfected through more than 100 years of experience.

“Shonan Natural Hot Spring Yunokura Garden” is a famous super sento that can be accessed by free shuttle bus from JR Hiratsuka Station and Odakyu Isehara Station. It is especially known for its highly concentrated calcium hot spring water, which is among the highest concentrations in Japan and can be enjoyed without added water dilution. The facility also offers sulfur spring baths, allowing visitors to enjoy two different types of hot spring quality.
One of the main features of this facility is its large variety of baths. There are 14 types in total, including a highly concentrated carbonated bath, family bath, electric bath, powerful jet bath, jet bath, waist massage bath, foot massage bath, cold water bath, large open-air rock bath, sulfur spring, silky bubble bath, pot bath, bedrock reclining bath, and flowing spring bench bath.
A high-temperature sauna is also available, and multiple stepped seating levels are installed so guests can enjoy different heat levels comfortably. Another notable feature is the automatic loyly performed every 15 minutes!
The restaurant and relaxation area are also well equipped, including a manga corner with approximately 3,000 books, making this one of the top recommended super sento facilities in Shonan!
