Overview

Shonan’s largest bread festival, Shonan Bread Festival 2025, is set to take place on Sunday, February 23, at Tsujido Seaside Park (Fujisawa City, Tsujido Nishikaigan 3)!
This is a must-visit event for bread lovers, bringing together over 40 bakeries and pastry shops from the Shonan area and beyond. In addition to local favorites, popular bakeries from Yokohama and Sagamihara will also be participating, offering a rare opportunity to taste renowned breads from across the region.
🍞 Theme: “Discovering New Bakeries”
This year’s theme focuses on not just enjoying the festival but also finding bakeries that you’ll want to visit again and again.
To bring this concept to life, a limited-edition ‘Shonan Bread Festival Set’ will be available for purchase. This exclusive set includes six specially selected breads from participating bakeries and comes in a custom-designed tote bag, along with an original commemorative badge. Only 200 sets will be sold, so be sure to grab yours early!
📖 Free Booklet: Stories of Passionate Bakers
A special booklet featuring profiles of dedicated bakers will be distributed for free at the event. This booklet shares the inspiring stories behind the craft, from what motivated these bakers to their dedication to creating the perfect loaf.
Additionally, the “Loss Bread Guide”, produced by rebake, an e-commerce site for surplus bread, will also be available for free. This initiative introduces an eco-friendly way to enjoy bread while supporting sustainability.
💬 Organizer’s Message: “Connecting the Community Through Bread”
Event organizer Takaaki Saito hopes that the festival will strengthen the bond between local communities and bakeries, enhancing the overall bread culture in the Shonan region.
“We want people to feel closer to Shonan’s bakeries and appreciate their craftsmanship through this event.”
