“Kamakura City Kawakita Film Museum” is located about an 8-minute walk from Kamakura Station. However, since there is no parking available, we recommend visiting by means other than a car. The museum was opened on the former residence site of Nagamasa Kawakita and his wife Kashiko, who made significant contributions to the development of cinema. Visitors can enjoy exhibitions of film materials, film screenings, and access to film-related resources through browsing and web searches.

The building is designed in traditional Japanese style, and within the calm atmosphere of historic Kamakura with its sukiya-style architecture, visitors can enjoy lectures, seminars, and workshops.
