List of Beaches in Oiso Town
Oiso Beach

Oiso Beach was established in 1885 by Dr. Matsumoto Jun, former Surgeon General of the Imperial Japanese Army, and is known as Japan’s first swimming beach.
With Oiso Port Parking located nearby, it is especially popular among families and couples. The beach is also within walking distance from JR Oiso Station, making it easily accessible.
The coastline consists of three distinct areas:
Kitahama Beach (featuring beach tennis courts)
Terugasaki Beach (a scenic viewpoint for Mt. Fuji)
Koyurugi no Hama (a quiet shoreline known for its natural “sazare-ishi” pebbles)
Each area offers its own unique charm. One public shower is available year-round, and there are three public restrooms (one permanent facility and two available during the swimming season only).
