Southern Beach Chigasaki

Southern Beach Chigasaki was originally opened in 1898 and was renamed “Southern Beach Chigasaki” in 1999. From the beach, visitors can enjoy views of Eboshiiwa Rock and Izu Oshima Island straight ahead, Enoshima to the east, and Mt. Fuji to the west.

The beach is open every year from the first Saturday of July through August 31. It has also appeared on the cover of a famous band’s CD jacket. The beach is especially well known as a popular photo spot featuring the iconic “Southern C” monument, often called the “Ring of Good Fortune” for relationships.

・Approx. 10-minute walk from “Southern-dori Minami (Stop 8)” or “Southern Beach Iriguchi (Stop 9)” via community bus from JR Chigasaki Station (South Exit)
・Approx. 10-minute walk from “Kaisuiyokujomae” bus stop via Kanachu Bus from JR Chigasaki Station (South Exit)
