The 73rd Shonan Hiratsuka Fireworks Festival
The Shonan Hiratsuka Fireworks Festival is a beloved summer tradition that colors the Shonan coastline each year.
The event takes place at Shonan Shioiri (the mouth of the Sagami River) and can also be enjoyed from Hiratsuka Beach.
In addition, the impressive Trusco Shonan Bridge creates a dramatic backdrop, enhancing the grandeur of the fireworks display.
The festival is scheduled for: Friday, August 22, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM (If canceled due to severe weather, it will be postponed to Sunday, August 24.)
Approximately 3,000 fireworks will be launched.
Set against the Shonan sea and the iconic bridge, spectators can enjoy musical fireworks, spectacular starmine displays, and even rare large-shell fireworks—making this a must-see summer event packed with highlights.
